Paoli Chiropractic News

Welcome our latest addition to Paoli Chiropractic!

Please welcome our latest addition to Paoli Chiropractic!  Dr. Steven Karp has a passion for helping patients heal and overcome injuries as he has been practicing in Chester County for the past 10 years.

He is a graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Doctorate of Chiropractic.  He is also certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and is a member of the American Chiropractic Association.  At the age of 13, Dr. Karp was inspired while being treated by a Chiropractor following a football injury.  This invoked his dream of becoming a Chiropractor with a focus on comprehensive wellness, pain management, and rehabilitation.

Dr. Karp is an elected member of The Pennsylvania State Board of Chiropractic Licensure and is certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.  In March of 2009, Dr. Karp became certified in the practice of manipulation under anesthesia.  In addition, Dr. Karp is the previous President of The Rotary Club of West Chester.

Dr. Karp will assist Dr. Stutzman in your care on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  This is a great opportunity to co-manage your treatments.  Being treated by two different chiropractors provides many advantages to your progression of care.  While Dr.’s Stutzman and Karp practice very similar, you will notice distinct differences in some of their methods.  The differences in treatment offer greater stimulus to your healing body, leading to improved function and stronger body structures.  We welcome the opportunity to have such an exceptional chiropractor on our team!  Dr. Karp has been Dr. Stutzman’s treating Chiropractor for 5 years!

Chiropractic Pearls

“In our randomized, controlled trial, we compared the effectiveness of manual therapy, physical therapy, and continued care by a general practitioner in patients with nonspecific neck pain. The success rate at seven weeks was twice as high for the manual therapy group (68.3 percent) as for the continued care group (general practitioner). Manual therapy scored better than physical therapy on all outcome measures. Patients receiving manual therapy had fewer absences from work than patients receiving physical therapy or continued care, and manual therapy and physical therapy each resulted in statistically significant less analgesic use than continued care.”
